Swayamsevaks Caught sharing fake news of “Ratan Tata’s announcement over JNU controversy”

India’s Iconic businessman – Ratan Tata, who has been making headlines with over half-a-dozen investments in emerging startups in 2016 alone, wouldn’t have imagined that his name would figure in the national capital’s boiling controversy.

For unknown reasons, attempts are being made on Twitter to drag Tata into the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) students’ protest.

With Tata’s picture in the background, a twitter post showcased, “Kisi JNU ke chathr ko naukri nahi degi Tata company. (Read as) The Tata company will not offer work opportunities to the students of JNU.”

The controversial post, generated by account holder Trishna Kumar Das, mentioned as an Advocate in Guwahati High Court, and a swayamsevak, however, drew sensible reaction from the Twitter  with 212 likes and around 250 re-tweets seen on it so far.

However, most Twitter users termed the post a bluff and asked others to be mindful of rumour mongers.

The Delhi Police last week arrested JNU students’ union leader Kanhaiya Kumar on charges of sedition as the union members were allegedly fanning anti-national sentiments in the university campus.
