Political déjà vu – PM Modi RE-INAGURATES a fully functional, 7-yr old Ayurveda Institute in Delhi
PM Modi suffers a political setback in the hands of his advisors, yet again, as he RE-inaugurates a fully running, AIIA, All India Institute of Ayurveda, which was dedicated to the nation already in the year 2010, under the UPA government. It seems like our honourable P.M. believes in re-birth and things like that, the only reason he re-inaugrated AIIA
Take a look at this PIB Press Release, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (Press Information Bureau, courtesy National Herald). Observe the red highlighted circles. They read –
OPD of All India Institute inaugurated
Inaugurating CCRAS today — Dated – 26th October 2010
This letter image clearly validates that the AIIA was inaugurated in 2010 by the then Minister of State for Health and Family welfare, S Gandhiselvan, a DMK leader who served as MOS from May, 2009 to March 2013 in the UPA government.
When the faux pas was noted and highlighted, BJP’s national spokesperson, Bizay Sonkar Shastri, clarified — “You can understand how UPA worked, by the fact that, we have to inaugurate it again.” Thus he validated that the AIIA was inaugurated long ago, which the PM stood to re-inaugurate again now.
AIIA informs via its website that – the idea to establish an AIIMS like Ayurvedic and research institute was mooted by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government.
However, during the replay inaugural déjà vu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked private sector to divert some of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds towards the development of Yoga and Ayurveda. PM added that BJP is working towards promoting alternative systems of medicine foreseeing a three-fold increase in Ayurveda facilities in the next five years, if the private sector does its part. (Don’t read Baba Ramdev here, because Maverick Times ain’t taking any names).
PM Modi asserted that nations cannot progress unless they value and cherish their history and heritage. He plans on establishing an Ayurveda hospital in every district.
We do hope that PM’s team of advisors do a little more of homework. A Google check before every event planning, maybe! Google itself launched its venture ‘Alphabet’, without knowing that the Company name “Alphabet” was patented already. Happens! While representing as a Prime minister of the country one should know such data, Think about the investment in the program that would have been initiated i’m sure it would not have been 100 or 200 rupees because it wasn’t an ordinary man to Re-inaugrate the institute.
